Estrogen Replacement Therapy and Cognitive Function in Older Women JAMA 269:2637-2641, Barrett-Conner,E.&Kritz-Silverstein,D., 1993 See this aricle in Pubmed Article Abstract No compelling or internally consistent evidence for an effect of estrogen on cognitive function was found in these older women.These data do not support the hypothesis that estrogen use after the menopause preserves cognitive function in old age.
